About the role
Lead. Build. Grow. Archer Insurance Agency is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to build and lead our Personal and Commercial Lines sales department from an established foundation. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity designed for an experienced insurance producer who enjoys both selling and developing others. This is a sell-first, lead-soon leadership opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Generate new Personal and Commercial Lines business through consultative selling.
- Maintain your own production while helping grow the agency's sales organization.
- Maintain referral relationships and business partnerships to generate new opportunities.
- Cross-sell insurance solutions to existing clients.
- Build and manage your own pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop insurance producers.
- Provide coaching, accountability, and ongoing sales development.
- Develop and implement documented, repeatable sales processes that support long-term team success.
- Monitor individual and team performance while supporting continuous improvement.
- Partner with agency leadership to execute long-term growth strategies.
- Help build a collaborative, high-performance sales culture across both office locations.
Requirements
- Active Tennessee Property & Casualty Insurance License
- 10+ years of insurance sales experience with significant Property & Casualty experience
- Verifiable track record of recruiting, developing, and leading successful insurance sales teams
- Proven ability to generate new business while leading a sales team
- Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience creating structured sales processes and driving accountability
- Ability to work full-time, in-office in Farragut, Tennessee
Qualifications
- Required: Active Tennessee Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Required: 10+ years of insurance sales experience with significant Property & Casualty experience
- Required: Verifiable track record of recruiting, developing, and leading successful insurance sales teams
- Required: Proven ability to generate new business while leading a sales team
- Required: Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills
- Preferred: Experience selling both Personal and Commercial Lines insurance
- Preferred: Recruiting and onboarding experience
- Preferred: Independent agency or multi-carrier brokerage experience
- Preferred: Established referral relationships with CPAs, bankers, attorneys, real estate professionals, or similar referral partners
- Preferred: Active California Property & Casualty License

- Base salary starting at $70,000+
- Ramp draw during the initial build period
- Uncapped monthly commission on personal production
- Team override compensation based on production
- Top-performing Sales Managers have the opportunity to earn $200,000+ annually through a combination of base salary, personal production, and team performance
- Actual earnings vary based on production and results
- 401(k) with a 3% non-elective employer contribution after one year
- Ten paid holidays
- Monday-Friday schedule
