Rheo Engineering designs and builds advanced powder handling equipment for the pharmaceutical industry — equipment used in the direct manufacture of life-saving medicine. As Sales Manager, you'll lead and grow the Regional Sales Manager team, Inside Sales, and Sales Operations, scaling the sales methodology and forecasting discipline that drives the organization forward. Responsibilities What You’ll Do Supervisory Recruit, hire, and onboard Regional Sales Managers Ensure the effective training and ramp of new sales team members Ensure sales team members perform reliably against territory plans and goals Coach and develop the team through field ride-alongs, deal strategy, and one-on-ones Oversee discipline and termination of team members per company policy Direct assignment of technical subject-matter experts to regional opportunities Non-Supervisory Own direct sales performance — regional bookings growth across North America Develop and manage sales strategy at the organizational, regional, and account level Design territory structure and set regional goals, quotas, and activity standards Develop and drive the sales methodology, training, and quote-to-close discipline Lead the sales operating cadence — pipeline, win/loss, and territory business reviews Drive growth of Rheo's direct product sales through the regional team Oversee CRM software to ensure pipeline data integrity, opportunity ownership, and forecast accuracy Direct Inside Sales in support of standard product sales and territory coverage Oversee Sales Operations, including reporting, order processing, and bid administration Prepare and deliver reports on sales plans, forecasts, and performance Partner with the Strategic Account Manager on account coverage and large capital project pursuits Collaborate with Marketing on lead generation, campaigns, and strategy Collaborate with Product Management and other key stakeholders to develop pricing strategy Manage third-party Sales Representative and Partner relationships Support tradeshows and other sales events (in-person, webinars, etc.) Support sales team members in growing customer relationships and closing critical sales What Success Looks Like A growing, well-trained regional sales team performing against expanding territory plans Consistent growth in direct sales bookings as the sales organization scales A sales operating cadence that scales smoothly and runs reliably without executive intervention Reliable, accurate sales forecasts leadership can plan against Clean CRM data with clear opportunity ownership and disciplined pipeline management Qualifications What We’re Looking For Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or other business or technical discipline 7+ years of consistent goal attainment in business-to-business sales 5+ years of sales leadership, including hiring, developing, and managing a sales team Demonstrated experience selling capital equipment or technical products through long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles Experience establishing sales process, cadence, and CRM discipline Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) Proficiency with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) Familiarity with an Enterprise Resource Planning software (Epicor Kinetic preferred) Traits Natural Leader — inspirational, humble, confident, and decisive Team Builder — genuine satisfaction in recruiting, developing, and growing others Strategic Mindset — ability to evaluate various data inputs and create an innovative response Customer Centric — a natural bent to know and understand the customer and find the right solution Communication — clear, easy communicator, in writing as well as in person Accountable — owns outcomes and holds others to their commitments Resilient — ability to thrive under pressure and confidently respond to sudden changes Wisely Organized — tendency to create order and structure, but not rigid Values Alignment Initiative: instinct for taking action to improve, solve, and deliver. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business Administration Experience selling into pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other regulated / GMP manufacturing markets Familiarity with single-use technology, powder handling, or containment applications Strong familiarity selling large, technical, custom projects Experience working with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) or A&E firms Experience launching a new product line or opening a new market segment
