SALES MANAGER SpringHill Suites Paso Robles-Atascadero About The Property Located in the heart of California’s Paso Robles wine country, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Paso Robles Atascadero is an all-suite hotel offering a modern and comfortable home base for exploring the Central Coast. The hotel features spacious suites, complimentary breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, Union & Vine restaurant and bar, and inviting outdoor spaces with a fire pit. With more than 5,000 square feet of flexible event space and convenient access to Paso Robles wineries, Templeton, and Atascadero, the property is well suited for both leisure and business travelers. THE ROLE As Sales Manager, You’ll Help Drive Hotel Revenue By Building Relationships, Developing New Business, And Growing Existing Accounts Across Group, Business Transient, And Leisure Segments. You’ll Work Closely With The General Manager And Director Of Sales To Put The Hotel In Front Of The Right Customers And Turn Opportunities Into Bookings. You Will Prospect for new business across group, business transient, leisure, and other targeted market segmentsBuild and maintain strong relationships with new and existing accountsSolicit local businesses, organizations, and prospective leads through proactive outreachGrow mid-week and weekend business, including guest rooms, meetings, banquets, and F&B opportunitiesQualify leads, conduct follow-up, and convert opportunities into bookingsConduct sales calls, client appointments, site inspections, trade shows, and networking eventsStay informed on local market conditions, competitors, and hotel offeringsRepresent the hotel at industry and civic events to build relationships and generate new businessDevelop and maintain an active sales pipeline and follow up on repeat business opportunitiesConfirm group bookings within approved availability and rate guidelinesWork closely with hotel departments to ensure group arrangements are communicated and executed smoothlyRespond promptly to sales inquiries, referrals, and customer correspondenceComplete sales action plans, reports, and activity trackingPromote other Parable-managed hotels when appropriateSupport the General Manager and Director of Sales with sales initiatives, reporting, and special projects What Success Looks Like You’re consistently creating new opportunities, growing existing accounts, and converting relationships into business. The hotel has a healthy sales pipeline, strong local market presence, and a steady flow of group and transient business, while clients and internal teams feel well supported from first contact through booking. What We’re Looking For 1+ year of hotel sales experienceExperience with group, business transient, leisure, or related hotel salesStrong prospecting, relationship-building, and account development skillsConfident presentation, communication, negotiation, and follow-up skillsComfortable making proactive sales calls, conducting site inspections, and attending networking eventsStrong organization and ability to manage multiple leads, accounts, and prioritiesKnowledge of local market conditions and competitive landscapeAbility to make timely decisions and use sound judgmentStrong guest and client service mindsetProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointEnglish speaking or bilingualDependable and flexible, with availability to work extended hours and 5–6 days per week as neededAbility to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
