Sales Manager
Position Summary
Reporting to the Vice President Nuts, the Sales Manager will be part of the Edible Nuts Team & will be responsible for nuts sales in North America. The portfolio of our nuts division currently includes commodities and ingredients consisting of almonds, cashews, peanuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, walnuts & macadamias. The person should be a self-starter and possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Candidates must be energetic, professional and want to strongly contribute to our growing company. This is a fully onsite position where employees are expected to work their specific work schedule onsite.
Responsibilities
- Sales and customer relationship management in the B2B realm; to drive sales volume growth and to meet sales targets
- Conduct periodic inventory ageing analysis & ensuring rotation/timely liquidation of stocks
- Working closely with logistics and support staff to ensure excellence in customer service, contract execution, inventory management, stock ageing, rejections, debtors and vendor payables
- Deepen our understanding of the Nuts Industry, markets and customers' requirements
- Execution of the company's business plan with numeric and qualitative key performance indicators, which are tracked monthly
- Educating the customer on what ofi can provide in terms of products, grades, certifications, supply chain and market insight differentiation
- This position requires knowledge of supply chain management, customer management, product know-how with ample opportunities and growth prospects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Ag Business, Business Administration, Economics, or related field from an accredited university
- 5+ years food sales experience in both new business development and existing business development
- Must have experience with negotiations
- At least 5 years of prior sales experience in the Nuts industry is preferred
- Understanding of food supply chains
- Proven record of sales success with strong ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
- Ability to think critically with a strong business acumen
- Ability to act quickly in a fast-changing environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience and familiarity with CRM systems
- Experience using SAP preferred
- Travel: This role may require up to 25% travel to other worksite locations, suppliers, customers, or business events
Pay
The pay for this role ranges from $100,000 - $130,000 annually and is based on position responsibilities and geographic location. Actual pay within this range may be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or other determining factors.
