About the role
The Sales Manager builds and owns MK Distro's sales engine from the ground up. To start, this is a hands-on, build-it role: you'll personally grow the B2B and cash-and-carry customer base, open new wholesale accounts, and set the playbook for how we sell. As volume grows, you'll hire and lead a sales team.
Responsibilities
- Growing wholesale/B2B accounts and reactivating dormant buyers
- Prospecting, pitching, and closing new retail and business customers
- Building the sales process: pricing approach, follow-up cadence, CRM discipline
- Hitting and growing monthly revenue targets
- Partnering with purchasing and inventory so we sell what we can deliver
- Eventually hiring, training, and leading sales reps as volume supports it
Requirements
- 3+ years in B2B/wholesale sales, ideally with a track record of opening accounts
- A hunter mentality — you're comfortable building a book, not just managing one
- Distribution, smoke/vape/hemp, convenience, or related industry experience a strong plus
- Self-directed and entrepreneurial; you thrive without a script
- Comfortable with CRM and basic sales reporting (Zoho CRM a plus)
Qualifications
- 21+
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- 1-3+ years B2B, wholesale, or distribution sales experience
- Demonstrated record of hitting sales targets or growing accounts
- Valid driver's license (for customer/account visits)
Skills
- Industry experience in smoke/vape/hemp, convenience, or wholesale distribution
- Existing customer or retailer relationships in the DFW market
- CRM experience (Zoho CRM ideal)
