SALES MANAGER

McPeake Hotels is seeking an energetic, driven, and relationship-focused Sales Manager to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Aberdeen, NC, a three-time Connie Award-winning hotel.

About the role

This is a hands-on sales position for someone who enjoys building relationships, pursuing new business, and being actively involved in the local community. The ideal candidate is a confident sales professional who understands the hotel market, knows how to prospect and close business, and is motivated by results. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue and growing business while also serving as an ambassador for McPeake Hotels and our entire portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sales action plans to maximize revenue and market share across all segments.
• Actively prospect for new business.
• Respond promptly and professionally to all sales inquiries, leads, RFPs, and business opportunities.
• Conduct sales calls, client meetings, property tours, and other business development activities.
• Drive the full sales process from inquiry through completion across all business segments, including group, corporate, local negotiated accounts, meeting and event, and leisure business, including contract execution and event detailing.
• Create and maintain accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensure all event details and client expectations are communicated effectively to the appropriate hotel departments.
• Work closely with operations and hotel leadership to ensure a seamless experience for group and corporate clients from booking through departure.
• Partner with the Area Director of Sales, General Manager, and Revenue Management Team to forecast business trends, evaluate demand, and optimize pricing strategies.
• Participate in weekly revenue management meetings and provide insight on current and anticipated business.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the local market, competitive set, demand generators, and current market trends.
• Maintain accurate records in the hotel’s CRM system and provide regular sales reports and updates.
• Represent Hilton Garden Inn and McPeake Hotels at chamber events, networking functions, and other community events.

Requirements

• Sales-driven and results-oriented with a strong desire to win new business.
• Organized and able to effectively manage multiple leads, proposals, contracts, and deadlines.
• Able to work independently while taking ownership of the property’s sales efforts and collaborating closely with hotel leadership, department leaders, and the McPeake Hotels sales team.
• Professional, personable, and comfortable representing the hotel and company in the community.
• A collaborative team player who is willing to work across properties to support portfolio-wide groups, events, and initiatives when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel sales or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience in business development, account management, outside sales, or a related sales role will be considered.
• Experience with hotel sales processes and CRM systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Hilton systems is preferred but not required.
