About the role

As our Sales Manager for the Industrial Smart Components (ISC) Business Unit, you’ll play a key role in expanding our RFID transponder business across North America, with a strong focus on consumable equipment markets and industrial verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new customers and develop the existing customer base in the consumable equipment market and other industrial verticals.
  • Recognize and understand customer requirements during the pre-sales process and educate customers on HID product offerings that solve their business challenges.
  • Drive the entire sales process, from prospecting and initial contact, to consulting on product offerings that meet the customer’s needs, to commitment of design-in solutions. Collaborate with product management and engineering specialists as required.
  • Work with sales and marketing management to plan and implement marketing and sales campaigns for your defined customer base to drive brand recognition and grow the business.
  • Attend and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and partner events.
  • Hunt for new customers and grow revenue while nurturing relationships with existing customers.
  • Complete forecasts and revenue reporting by regularly scheduled deadlines.
  • Build a project pipeline to secure ISC long-term business growth.
  • Act as an industry expert in future market trends, and coordinate with product management on potential new products to meet these trends.

Requirements

  • Technical training or previous education, but high affinity for technical products.
  • An understanding of RFID technologies with a focus on RFID tags and labels.
  • Several years of sales experience and confidence in speaking to all levels of customers (Engineering, Procurement, and C-Suite).
  • Passionate about sales topics and selling components.
  • Strong experience in hunting, cold-calling, and closing new customers, including social media outreach.
  • Effective and timely follow-up to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
  • Develop presentations and write content as an industry subject matter expert.
  • Present information to boards of directors, technical managers, and/or public groups.
  • Interact professionally with the Sales team, Business Development Team, Product Marketing, and other departments within HID.
  • Read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience with SalesForce (or other CRM platform) and Concur is a plus but is not required.

Pay

The base salary in the United States is $98,000 to $108,000. If a sales role includes additional responsibilities, the OTE is up to $180,000 (this figure will be the maximum potential OTE).
