Sales Manager

About the Role

Develop segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing ones. External markets may include corporate events, meetings, trainings, birthdays, personal milestone events, holiday parties, school athletic banquets, and fundraisers. The Sales Manager will serve as an ambassador for the property, fostering relationships with individuals and corporations who book events to ensure repeatable and predictable business while prospecting for new opportunities.

The role extends beyond the park to trade shows and other public events to heighten community awareness. You will also be responsible for marketing the park and acting as a positive role model in social media and public forums through active and consistent participation.

Maximize event revenues to meet and exceed sales goals and budgets by selling groups of 10 guests or more and increasing yield through effective negotiation of tournament products and tee time utilization. This position works closely with the General Manager and Operations team to design menus and schedule upcoming events.

You will be responsible for generating a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals that meet or exceed sales targets and budgets. Building a team using teaching, coaching, and mentoring strategies aligned with the Five Star Brand and sales leadership methodology is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships, both new and existing.
• Prospect for new event opportunities in corporate, social, and community markets.
• Serve as an ambassador for the property at the park, trade shows, and public events.
• Market the park through social media and public forums, ensuring active and positive participation.
• Maximize event revenues by selling groups of 10+ guests and negotiating tournament products and tee times.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Operations team to design menus and schedule events.
• Create and execute a sales and marketing plan to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
• Build, coach, and mentor a team aligned with the Five Star Brand and sales leadership culture.

Requirements

• College degree preferred or 3-5 years of related experience in sales, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or service industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in using social media to drive sales, including LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
• Positive, engaging, and team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to work weekends if business needs or opportunities arise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM software.
• Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills; ability to work with little or no direct supervision.
• Excellent customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction.
• Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to build and foster a team environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
