About the role
Cosentino (www.cosentino.com) is seeking a Sales Manager for its retail and builder sales division in St. Louis, MO. The role involves working in a multinational environment with numerous challenging projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to increase and reach long and short-term sales plans for stone surfacing products within the territory
- Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients within the remodeling, home improvement, cabinet makers, builders, and fabrication sectors
- Serve as the client's main point of contact, helping them achieve their goals and maintaining a positive and profitable relationship
- Ensure customers have adequate marketing materials and manage customer relationships by resolving concerns, setting up in CRM systems, providing quotes, scheduling visits, etc.
- Increase market share by enhancing displays and point-of-purchase materials within the assigned territory
- Manage account reports, sales budgets, and maintain discipline to stay within assigned budgets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Aid in corporate account rollout programs on a regional basis as needed, which may involve travel outside the assigned geography
- Coordinate and promote Cosentino surfacing products with universities and associations, developing relationships with design industry leaders and students
- Actively represent and promote Cosentino to the construction and building industry by participating in local NKBA and MHBA events and other targeted associations
- Schedule appointments, meetings, or other personal sales efforts to build relationships with builders, fabricators, general contractors, and property managers
- Manage the sales development of Cosentino surfacing products with various interior and exterior applications within the core geography, maintaining awareness of markets and pursuing profitable opportunities
- Evaluate, negotiate, close, and execute contracts/agreements for materials, installation, and services, as well as the sales positioning in model homes, design centers, and showrooms
Requirements
- 4+ years of sales or field merchandising experience, 2+ years of commercial and builder sales experience preferred
- Stone fabrication or distribution experience desired
- Experience with Customer databases, particularly Salesforce preferred
- Strong communication skills, oral and written, capable of interacting with multiple levels within the commercial industry
- Ability to develop workshops or industry-related events
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Office Suite and CRM systems
- High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree in business or related field desired
