About the role
Bergey’s Automotive Group is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to lead and develop our sales team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall dealership success.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve individual and dealership goals
- Create a positive, energetic, and team-oriented sales environment
- Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to sales team members
- Aid sales consultants with customer interactions, negotiations, and closing deals
- Maintain strong knowledge of current vehicle products, features, technology, incentives, and programs
- Monitor daily, monthly, and annual sales performance and develop strategies to achieve goals
- Drive sales volume, profitability, customer retention, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory and ensure vehicles are properly displayed, priced, and merchandised
- Stay informed on market conditions, competition, and customer demand
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
- Collaborate with Finance, Service, Parts, and other dealership departments
- Maintain strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing automotive sales
- Participate in manager meetings, training, and Automotive Group initiatives as requested
- Lead by example and be willing to jump in and support the team when needed
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
Requirements
- Previous automotive sales and/or sales management experience
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop a sales team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Goal-oriented with a passion for sales and achieving results
- Strong understanding of the automotive sales process
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Positive, energetic personality with a passion for people and leadership
- Ability to create a fun, competitive, and accountable team culture
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the sales team.
