Responsibilities
- Appraise trade ins
- Purchase and sell Used Car inventory
- Stay abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., and how they benefit customers
- Understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales
- Develop and maintain a buying network
- Help appraise vehicles when needed
- Be knowledgeable of purchasing vehicles online
- Work with dealer and general manager to determine appropriate days’ supply for used vehicles and orders/acquires vehicle inventory accordingly
- Establish standards for displaying, merchandising, and maintaining used vehicles
- Establish procedures for quick disposal of over-aged vehicles
- Check the condition of all demonstrators monthly
- Study local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history
- Ensure the lot is merchandised well and the cars are maintained at the highest standards
- Price all cars correctly on various websites and be familiar with online marketing of used vehicles
- Audit all appraisals of trade-in vehicles
- Attend auctions frequently
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Attend managers meetings as requested
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug test
