Sales Manager Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of new and used vehicle departments including negotiating sales, working deals, customer interaction, vehicle acquisition and management.
- Manage and oversee internet inquiries and follow up.
- Strategize with sales managers to forecast goals and implement objectives for achieving sales and gross profits.
- Create acceptable gross profit margins.
- Work with lenders on structuring sales.
- Be ethical and transparent in leading operations.
- Create a positive and legally compliant working environment and sales culture.
Qualifications
- Proficient in all facets of the new and used car business.
- Hold a working knowledge of automotive systems like ELeads, V-auto, CDK, Dealer Track and other automotive technology systems.
- Provide excellent leadership and communication skills.
