About the role
Seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Philadelphia/NJ market for FCX Performance, a division of Applied Industrial Technologies. The ideal candidate will manage a team of sales representatives, develop their own customer base, set sales targets, and ensure consistent execution of company policies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a strong account base
- Establish and implement sales strategies, quotas, and goals
- Recruit, hire, train, and mentor sales staff
- Create and implement strategic plans to expand the customer base in the assigned district
- Lead and develop sales teams, engage with vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Manage diverse sales teams and ensure consistent performance
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a field sales representative
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills
- Results-driven attitude
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement
- Experience in Outside Sales/Account Manager/Territory Manager roles within the industrial or flow control marketplace required
- Background in Sales Management roles preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse sales teams
- Background in P & L is helpful
Qualifications
- Technical capacity/mechanical aptitude
- Solid working knowledge of pumps, instrumentation, valves, and valve automation
- Business acumen and strategic approach
