About the role

Seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Philadelphia/NJ market for FCX Performance, a division of Applied Industrial Technologies. The ideal candidate will manage a team of sales representatives, develop their own customer base, set sales targets, and ensure consistent execution of company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong account base
  • Establish and implement sales strategies, quotas, and goals
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor sales staff
  • Create and implement strategic plans to expand the customer base in the assigned district
  • Lead and develop sales teams, engage with vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Manage diverse sales teams and ensure consistent performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a field sales representative
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Results-driven attitude
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement
  • Experience in Outside Sales/Account Manager/Territory Manager roles within the industrial or flow control marketplace required
  • Background in Sales Management roles preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage diverse sales teams
  • Background in P & L is helpful

Qualifications

  • Technical capacity/mechanical aptitude
  • Solid working knowledge of pumps, instrumentation, valves, and valve automation
  • Business acumen and strategic approach
