About the role
The Sales Manager is responsible for growing and maintaining sales of commercial laundry products within our Direct Distribution channel. Key aspects include leading and developing a team of sales representatives, executing sales strategies, building and maintaining customer relationships, and providing pre and post-sales support.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of sales professionals and achieve objectives through effective planning, goal setting, data analysis, and future performance projections.
- Create and implement sales strategies resulting in increased sales through previously and newly identified geographies or customers.
- Implement company-directed sales programs, promotions, and strategies to achieve volume and profit plans while expanding market penetration.
- Leverage the full portfolio of solutions to meet the needs of the customer.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with accounts, aiding in training on product features and benefits, revenue enhancement opportunities, and general technical support.
- Stay informed about competitive activity in the assigned sales territory and provide feedback to help identify emerging market and customer trends and opportunities.
- Provide cost and profit analysis on all completed sales orders to submit to administrative staff for accurate costing and commission reports.
- Represent company at trade shows, present at sales meetings, regional meetings, and other events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of work experience in sales or account management related field with proven track record of outside sales.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Working knowledge of management software programs including Salesforce strongly preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including using Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of work experience in sales or account management related field with proven track record of outside sales.
- Skills: Sales and business acumen; proficient at translating technical product information into sales strategy to drive revenue; strong analytical skills; basic mechanical aptitude regarding machinery and equipment; strong diplomacy skills; leadership skills; solid organizational skills; excellent written, verbal, and communication skills; strong work ethic; resilient; standard and physical requirements.
Benefits
- For California, Colorado, and Washington, the compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $155,000 plus eligible for commission and/or bonus.
- Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
