Sales Leader – Industrial & Renewable Transformers
Job Description
The Sales Leader – Industrial & Renewable Transformers is responsible for leading the development and execution of a growth strategy for the GE Vernova (Prolec) Industrial & Renewable Transformer (IT&R) business segment. Key responsibilities include:
- Meeting or exceeding the order intake and margin plan for the IT&R business segment.
- Leading a team of Product Sales Specialists in selling IT&R transformers into target markets including Investor-Owned Utilities (IOU’s), Data Centers/Hyperscalers and Co-Locators, Renewables (Wind, Solar) Battery Storage, etc).
- Supporting technical and commercial tendering activities ensuring compliance with tendering and booking instructions.
- Leading pricing strategy (based on competition intelligence and need for factory load).
- Leading and supporting negotiation (technical, commercial, T&Cs, risk) activities.
- Driving pipeline pulsing per region and actions to increase capture rate.
- Leading business development roadmaps definition and execution.
- Leading team to provide regular updates in SPEAk4GE (Salesforce.com) for opportunity pipeline.
- Providing sales training to Account Managers and Channels including opportunity qualifications, competitive positioning, specification influence and other initiatives as required.
- Being the essential link from the market to the factories (engineering, tendering, forecast, supply chain, execution, after-sales support).
- Supporting the factories as necessary in the execution of orders.
- Providing forecasts (for factories and business), as well as market and competitive intelligence.
- Working jointly with Marketing and Engineering teams to drive development and delivery of new products and services to meet customer needs and improve customer satisfaction.
- Assisting in partner marketing activities such as trade shows and other promotional events.
- Managing expenses of team within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge/experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Electric Transmission & Distribution Grid industry or adjacent industries with technical knowledge of electric transformers and applications.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial, marketing, or operational experience, preferably in the T&D business space.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing/leading experienced Industry professionals.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $151,400.00 and $252,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
