About the Role
We are looking for part-time Sales Leaders who are enthusiastic, energetic, friendly, and hard-working. The Sales Leader is responsible for providing exemplary selling and customer service designed to improve the productivity and profitability of the store. This role involves sales, service, and relationship-building, as well as leadership tasks such as sharing product knowledge, managing daily tasks, and opening or closing the store. The Sales Leader works closely with the corporate store team and reports directly to the Store Manager.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a warm, inviting, easy-to-navigate shopping environment.
- Build and share expertise on products, promotions, services, and brand rewards programs, tailored to a wide range of shopper needs.
- Support store management with team leadership.
- Assist customers in finding the perfect card and gift solutions.
- Share and showcase stories and communities of caring to reinforce the cycle of kindness.
- Handle store operations, including product replenishment, merchandising, ringing sales, processing shipments, managing inventory, fulfilling online orders, and curbside deliveries.
- Deliver an exceptional shopping experience that leaves customers inspired and eager to return.
- Work as a team to meet store sales goals by ensuring customers leave with everything they need and more.
- Uphold all company policies and practices.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned, including inventory management, product sets, stocking, housekeeping, and stockroom duties.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of prior retail experience, sales, or customer service.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to open and close the store a minimum of three (3) times per week and work two (2) weekend shifts per month.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to provide proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in specialty retail, sales, or customer service.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Continuously stand/walk, push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 pounds, and use fine finger movements (e.g., keyboard operation, writing).
- Frequently bend at the waist, climb/work at heights (e.g., step ladders, ladders), kneel, squat, lift/carry up to 40 pounds, and reach overhead.
- Occasionally balance on uneven surfaces, lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Rarely drive or travel, lift/carry up to 75 pounds, or remain seated during job performance.
- Continuously communicate with customers, co-workers, and vendors, including speaking, hearing, and sight.
- Exposure to dust, cleaning agents, truck exhaust, inadequate lighting, noise, scents of products (e.g., candles, lotions), outdoor work, and work at heights.
Schedule
This is a regular, part-time, hourly position that typically works between 10-28 hours per week, not to exceed an average of 28 hours per week.
