ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Initiating and developing customer relationships, and resolving customer service issues.
- Working a POS to tender sales, make exchanges, refunds, transfers, etc.
- Reach or exceed store sales goals and motivating sales staff to reach or exceed store sales goals.
- Following and enforcing store policies with customers and employees.
- Merchandising displays, signage, to promote sales.
- Cleaning and maintaining store appearance.
- Taging merchandise and double checking for errors or corrections.
- Calculating sales discounts.
- Maintaining inventory and store supply levels.
- Safeguarding required store opening and closing duties.
- Delegating daily tasks to associates and supervising associate activities while acting as the Manager on Duty.
- Communicating with and assisting the Store Manager with any and all operations of the store.
- Performing special projects as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Effective communication orally and in writing with customers and employees.
- Reading and interpreting documents like operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and common fractions.
- Identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner and gathering information.
- Performing basic computer functions and utilizing POS, email, and Microsoft Office products (Excel & Word).
- Proactively seeking opportunities for improvements and providing support and assistance.
- Consistently being at work and on time, following instructions, responding to management direction, and soliciting feedback to improve performance.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work 16+ hours per week.
- Ability to work 2 closing shifts per week.
- Ability to work 2 Saturdays per month (Full or part day).
- Ability to work 2 Sundays per month from open to close (11:45am - 6:15pm).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to stand and walk 4-5 hours at a time.
- Must have the ability to view a computer screen accurately.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the assistance of another employee.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years previous retail sales experience.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
