Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting customers in: FF&E logistics (retail, restaurant, convenience store, healthcare, commercial projects), new store openings/closures, rebranding/remodel project management, fixture rollouts, forward deployed warehouse consolidation, consolidation and distribution programs/projects in the defined sectors, B2B final-mile and white-glove delivery solutions.
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within SCS and NXTPoint offerings.
- Conduct consultative discovery to understand complex customer needs and design tailored logistics solutions while leveraging the complete service offering of NXTPoint Logistics.
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to develop custom 3PL solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including: Prospecting, Solution design, Proposal development, Contract negotiation, Onboarding assistance.
- Establish and maintain strong Customer relationships through high emotional intelligence and service orientation.
- Stay informed on market trends within freight forwarding, FF&E logistics, and specialized supply chain services.
- Participate in and lead sales presentations and negotiations.
- Meet or exceed annual individual sales goals and objectives within the prescribed time frame.
- Complete required reports in a timely and accurate manner and maintain data in the Customer Relationship Management system (Hubspot).
- Leverage sales enablement tools (Zoominfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to create prospects based on the ideal customer profile.
- Work closely with the Marketing Department in leading proposals, presentations, RFPs and other collateral materials, as required.
- Work closely with Sales and Contracts team on pricing, contract terms and conditions.
- Develop and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all members of the team, to include customers, service partners and internal stakeholders.
- Accept additional job assignments and participate in project work as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- College degree or equivalent work experience required; Minimum 3 (three) years business development experience in relevant sales role within industry; Proven track record of developing prospects and securing new Customers; Prior familiarity with freight forwarding, FF&E logistics, consolidation/distribution, final-mile B2B white glove delivery & Project/Installation Services.
- Travels to support marketplace activity and company requirements – 25%-40% travel requirements.
- Demonstrated Sales and Leadership skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret prospective client relocation policies and contract documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with prospect contacts and others as appropriate.
- Ability to effectively present information to senior management, prospects, and/or public groups.
- Highly customer service oriented/driven interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as situations and needs change throughout the workday.
- Ability to multi-task and organize workflow to meet deadlines and prioritize work.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and related appropriate programs and software.
- Demonstrated ability to work across cultures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
