About the role
Meter is building the modern networking infrastructure that businesses like Lyft and Reddit rely on to stay connected. As an Enterprise Sales Engineer, you will partner with our Enterprise Sales team to bring better networks to more customers by using your technical expertise to win over the hearts and minds of IT and network engineers alike.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with the Sales team, including both sales reps and leaders, to support and advise.
- Work with the Sales Engineering team to design and build the technical engine needed to compete against legacy vendors.
- Lead technical discovery calls to understand customer pain points and frustrations with their current legacy solutions.
- Deliver world-class demonstrations that inspire and get buy-in from multiple stakeholders.
- Build solutions, remove obstacles, and close deals through collaboration with customers and partners.
- Partner with Account Executives to create urgency and drive deals forward.
- Create and maintain assets and standards for the Sales team, including reference architectures and integration guides.
- Translate customer feedback into product requirements for the Product team.
Requirements
- Expert knowledge in TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP & EVPN-VXLAN.
- Highly motivated and experienced in high-growth companies, with a proven track record of success.
- Professional development focus, ideally with completed industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, Network+, Security+.
Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise networking, including routing, switching, wireless, and security.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
