Why We’re Hiring
This role is for a Solutions Architect who will be shaping how Vapi sells, demos, documents, and brings enterprise customers live. They will work on technical discovery and demos for active deals, partner with Account Executives on account strategy, and lead the technical side of deals from first call through close and go-live.
Responsibilities
- Learn Vapi’s product, customer use cases, sales motion, and common technical objections within 30 days.
- Shadow enterprise calls, understand Vapi’s voice-agent architecture, and build fluency across telephony, LLM orchestration, integrations, and contact center workflows.
- Own technical discovery and demos for active enterprise deals within 60 days.
- Partner closely with Account Executives on account strategy, build customer-specific demos, help design Proof of Concepts (POCs), and answer technical questions clearly and honestly.
- Lead the technical side of enterprise deals from first call through close and go-live within 90 days.
- Create reusable artifacts for the team, document integration patterns and common objections, and feed product gaps back to engineering and product.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate has 4+ years in a technical customer-facing role, such as pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, customer engineering, or similar. They can write code well enough to build a working integration, read API responses, and debug issues without immediately pulling in an engineer. Experience with voice, telephony, or contact center infrastructure is preferred, such as SIP, Twilio, Genesys, Five9, or similar systems. They are comfortable speaking with both engineers and executives and adjust the level of detail appropriately.
