About the Role
Portnox is a leading provider of cloud-native zero trust access control solutions, empowering organizations to secure their networks, applications, and infrastructure with ease. We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our remote team. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, sales experience, and excellent communication skills. While fully remote, this position is open only to candidates located in Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers, understanding their requirements and articulating how Portnox's solutions can address their challenges.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations, showcasing the features and benefits of our solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to design and propose tailored solutions that meet specific customer needs.
- Assist the sales team in responding to RFPs, preparing technical proposals, and providing technical input during the sales cycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners, ensuring a deep understanding of their business objectives and technical environments.
- Provide technical training and support to customers, partners, and internal sales personnel to ensure successful adoption and utilization of Portnox solutions.
- Communicate customer feedback and insights to product management and engineering teams to inform product development and enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering or similar technical role, preferably within the cybersecurity or network access control domain.
- Cybersecurity experience required.
Skills
- Proficiency in network security concepts, including authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) services.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture and solutions.
- Experience with zero trust security frameworks and network access control solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing customer challenges.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support sales activities and customer engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Portnox or similar network access control solutions.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and services.
