Sales Engineer
About the role
As a Sales Engineer on our team, you will be the technical expert who helps CISOs, SOC teams, and threat-intel analysts understand what Dataminr's real-time AI platform can do for them. You'll lead discovery, demos, and proofs of value, partnering closely with Account Executives and our Product team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical sales process by guiding enterprise customers through deep-dive architecture discussions, evaluations, and strategic decision-making to close major deals.
- Deliver engaging, tailored demos and high-impact Proof of Value (POV) workshops that prove how our AI-driven cybersecurity products solve massive real-world problems.
- Act as the go-to expert on modernizing SOC workflows, threat intelligence, incident response, and cutting-edge security automation.
- Roll up your sleeves to design integrated security ecosystems and build custom workflows or API integrations using Python.
- Map complex enterprise security challenges into sleek, automated solution designs that protect organizations and deliver undeniable business value.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and rival tech to position our platform as the undisputed market leader, helping customers while maxing out your commission.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a customer-facing Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or technical consulting role.
- 7+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or Security Automation (CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or SANS certifications are a plus).
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, adversary TTPs, incident response, and risk management.
- Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, TIP, vulnerability management, and cloud security technologies.
- Familiarity with Python, Java, APIs, or similar technologies for integrations and automation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, from practitioner to executive audiences.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Benefits
- The annual base salary range for this position is $106,800 - $157,500.
- You will also be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus and Company equity.
- Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.

Schedule
This is a remote position for candidates based out of the North Eastern US.
