Sales Engineer
About the role
As a Sales Engineer at Dataminr, you will serve as a trusted advisor to Account Executives, the Product team, and our customers across the US and Canada. Based anywhere remote in the Northeast US, preferred locations are between Philadelphia and Boston.

The Opportunity
Lead the technical sales process, guiding customers through architecture discussions, evaluations, and technical decision-making.
Translate customer security challenges and operational requirements into solution designs that deliver measurable outcomes.
Deliver tailored demonstrations, workshops, and Proof of Value (POV)/Proof of Concept (POC) engagements that showcase real-world use cases and business impact.
What You Bring
7+ years of cybersecurity experience with expertise in Security Operations (SOC), Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Threat Hunting, or Security Automation and Orchestration.
3+ years in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or customer-facing technical consulting role.
Strong knowledge of threat intelligence methodologies, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, adversary TTPs, incident response, and risk management practices.
Hands-on experience with security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIP), vulnerability management, and cloud security solutions.
Experience building integrations and automations using Python, Java, APIs, or similar technologies.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical practitioners and executive stakeholders.
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, and SANS, a plus.

Pay & Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $106,800 - $157,500. You will also be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus and Company equity. Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.
