About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as a key technical expert and product advocate for our technology solutions. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between sales and engineering, supporting sales teams with technical expertise during client meetings, presentations, and implementations.
Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate the technical capabilities of our SaaS solutions to financial institutions and fintech companies during the sales process through presentations, demonstrations, and pilot implementations.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand technical and business requirements, crafting tailored solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Develop strong, confidence-building relationships with key stakeholders, enabling frictionless product adoption and reinforcing AFS’s reputation as a trusted partner.
- Partner with Product, R&D, and Marketing teams to provide client feedback, influence roadmap prioritization, and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Educate customers through training sessions, onboarding support, and ongoing technical coaching to drive successful product adoption.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape, using insights to inform strategy and improve customer engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, or related roles within financial technology, SaaS, or custody/clearing services.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to discuss detailed product specifications with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments.

Work Environment
This job operates in a hybrid, office environment 3 days per week. This role will require up to 20% travel for client meetings and industry events.

Pay
Salary Range: $91,200–$114,000. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location.
