Sales Engineer APJ

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Sales Engineer with a strong track record and a genuine passion for selling technology solutions. This position will be based out of our Australia location.

Responsibilities

• Support sales executives with solution selling to partners and OEMs
• Develop a strong understanding of the IE product and OEM offerings
• Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles with partners and OEMs
• Succeed in matching customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
• Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value product range
• Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses to partners and OEM's
• Effectively communicate client needs to the product teams for future product enhancements
• Collect and document competitive intelligence

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years or more career experience in solution selling and technical presales roles
• Proven track record selling complex enterprise solutions
• Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with senior executives at partners and customers
• Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
• Solutions engineering & architecting experience in the Storage, Data Protection or Security industry is a bonus
• B.S in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or comparable
