About the role
The Sales Director will lead and develop a growing sales organization within a fast-paced Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment. This individual will be responsible for managing team performance, driving accountability, and executing strategic initiatives that support revenue growth across multiple service lines.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multi-function sales team spanning new business acquisition, account management, and solution sales roles
- Drive team performance through structured coaching, goal setting, and ongoing accountability measures
- Manage and monitor KPIs aligned to organizational growth objectives
- Develop and implement scalable sales processes and performance frameworks
- Partner with executive leadership to shape go-to-market strategy and contribute to company-level revenue planning
- Partner cross-functionally with operations and executive leadership to ensure alignment on growth initiatives
- Collaborate with technical pre-sales and vCIO resources to support complex solution selling cycles
- Provide leadership support to solution-focused sales specialists who serve niche markets
- Conduct regular performance reviews, pipeline reviews, and forecast reporting
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new sales team members
- Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting within CRM systems
Requirements
- Proven success as a sales manager with a track record of team growth and performance, and a clear readiness to operate at a director level
- Strong proficiency with HubSpot CRM
- Proven ability to implement performance management frameworks and scalable sales processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to think both tactically and strategically, with an appetite to grow into broader organizational leadership
- MSP or IT services industry experience strongly preferred
