About the role
The Director of Sales will build and lead a high-performing sales organization, serving as both a coach and a player. The role involves building playbooks, developing talent, and turning data into coaching action.
Responsibilities
- Coach two sales tracks: Account Executives (new business with HR leaders, C-suite, CFOs) and Account Managers (retention, renewals, growth)
- Lead by doing: model live discovery, objection handling, negotiation, and closing that your team can watch and repeat
- Drive results: own an ambitious growth target (30% MOM) and hold the team to a high bar for activity and outcomes
- Own the engine: territory strategy, ABM, forecasting, pipeline, and CRM data integrity in Salesforce
- Show up: represent Catapult at conferences and member events (up to 25% travel) and partner cross-functionally with Marketing, HR Services, and Membership
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in professional services, consulting, or membership organizations
- 4–6+ years coaching or leading sales professionals
- A track record of personally closing complex, consultative deals
- Experience selling to or coaching teams that sell to HR leaders, executives, or CFOs (strongly preferred)
- Strong command of CRM systems, sales analytics, and forecasting
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, HR, or related field — or equivalent experience
Qualifications
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, sales coaching certification, or bilingual English/Spanish are bonuses
