About the Role
We're looking for a Sales Director who does more than fill beds—you'll guide families through one of life's most emotional decisions, build trust with local healthcare partners, and drive the growth of a community people are proud to call home. If you're a consultative seller with heart, a sharp eye for pipeline metrics, and the persistence to turn inquiries into move-ins, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle—generate leads, qualify prospects, run tours, and close move-ins to meet monthly and quarterly occupancy and revenue targets.
- Build and execute a sales strategy aligned with our budgeted occupancy and financial goals.
- Respond promptly and compassionately to every inquiry—phone, email, walk-in, or online—and keep detailed, accurate records in our CRM.
- Cultivate referral relationships with hospitals, rehab centers, home health agencies, physicians, and elder law attorneys.
- Host networking events, professional luncheons, and educational seminars that put our community on the map.
- Partner closely with the Executive Director, care teams, and department leaders to create seamless, memorable tour experiences.
- Contribute to the yearly marketing plan and help plan and execute 8-10 marketing events annually.
- Track pipeline metrics, move-ins, and conversion ratios, and report on results.
Requirements
- A degree in Business, Communications, Real Estate, Hospitality, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of direct sales experience, ideally in senior living, hospitality, real estate, or healthcare.
- A track record of success in consultative, relationship-based selling.
- Comfort working in a CRM and using sales metrics to guide your day.
- Familiarity with the senior care industry—independent living, assisted living, and memory care.
- High emotional intelligence, strong communication skills, and a genuine, customer-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with move-in coordination or family mediation.
- Knowledge of Medicaid and long-term care insurance.
- An existing local referral network.
- Public speaking experience.
Benefits
- A meaningful role where your work directly changes families' lives for the better.
- A collaborative team—care, culinary, and life enrichment leaders who partner with you, not around you.
- A supportive marketing team invested in your pipeline, not just your close rate.
- Room to grow your career within a mission-driven senior living organization.
- Professional Development through our Pathway to ED program and other educational opportunities.
- Educational reimbursement and paid tuition based on meeting criteria.
- Full benefits package including 401k with a match, EAP, and many ancillary offerings.
