Sales Development Team Lead
About the role
Bobyard Construction is a trillion‑dollar industry still reliant on manual takeoffs. Contractors currently measure and count materials from drawings by hand, a slow process that limits how many jobs they can bid. Bobyard applies AI to automate takeoffs and estimates, cutting takeoff time by 50–90% and enabling contractors to submit more bids. The company is Series A funded by 8VC, Primary, and Pear and is growing rapidly. As the Revenue Development organization scales, we are seeking an SDR Team Lead to own the performance, coaching, and development of a pod of outbound SDRs. This frontline leadership role requires someone who can build pipeline personally and translate that experience into repeatable team performance. You will coach SDRs on high‑volume outbound and strategic enterprise business development, helping them navigate larger accounts, identify stakeholders, multi‑thread opportunities, and develop account‑level strategy. You will be accountable for your pod’s qualified demos, pipeline generation, and sourced revenue—not just activity—and will stay close to the work, jumping into call reviews, strategic accounts, or difficult prospect conversations when needed. Strong SDRs on this team can progress to Senior SDR, Enterprise Business Development, Sales, or Revenue Development leadership, with Team Leads playing a key role in developing that talent pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day performance, coaching, and development of a pod of SDRs — running 1:1s, call reviews, role plays, and performance coaching on cold calling, discovery, objection handling, and qualification
- Own pod‑level results across qualified demos, pipeline generation, and SDR‑sourced revenue
- Onboard and ramp new SDRs into productive contributors quickly
- Use performance data and call intelligence to diagnose where conversion is breaking down across the funnel and coach against it
- Help SDRs build account strategy for strategic and enterprise targets — stakeholder mapping, multi‑threading, and coordinated outreach — and partner with AEs to improve meeting quality and opportunity progression on larger accounts
- Reinforce strong execution across our systems and workflows (HubSpot, Gong, Lemlist, dialing tools)
- Help improve the processes, messaging, and operating rhythms needed to scale Revenue Development
Requirements
- Proven success in outbound business development, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Previous SDR leadership, management, or meaningful player‑coach experience
- Experience prospecting into mid‑market/enterprise accounts, including stakeholder mapping and multi‑threaded outreach
- Strong cold‑calling skills and the ability to coach both high‑volume and strategic motions
- Comfortable using CRM data, call recordings, and performance metrics to manage and coach performance
- Ability to hold a high performance bar while investing heavily in rep development
- Experience with HubSpot, Gong, sales engagement platforms, and dialing tools is a plus; construction or landscaping industry experience is a plus but not required
- Passion and work ethic — startups aren’t easy, this isn’t a cushy job at Google; willing to do whatever it takes to win, from coaching to cold calls to convention booths
