About the role

The sales development rep will prospect new business within a defined geographic territory, focusing on small and medium market segments. The role involves identifying potential new customers, developing value propositions, and maintaining regular communication with the sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and vet new business opportunities through background research and discussions with decision-makers.
  • Utilize Suggested Calls and other data-driven reporting to identify and pursue customer growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of new leads and schedule opportunity handoff calls.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide a seamless customer experience and support growth of revenue.
  • Communicate regularly with manager and peers regarding joint sales call opportunities.
  • Navigate internal processes to coordinate support and solutions with relevant departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Four years of business-to-business sales experience or one year of the company's business-to-business sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Product knowledge and ability to qualify leads effectively.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivation and adaptability.
  • Experience leveraging technology and CRM systems.
  • Experience with high-volume prospecting and inbound virtual customer support.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated involvement or leadership in school, community, athletic, or professional organizations.
  • Experience working collaboratively in team-based environments.
  • B2B or high-value B2C sales experience using digital tools and CRM.
  • High volume prospecting activities and/or inbound virtual customer support experience.

Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of Charlotte, NC or surrounding cities within the territory.

Job Conditions
