About the role
The sales development rep is a key member of the sales team, responsible for prospecting new business within a defined geographic territory in the small and medium market. The role involves identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, developing value propositions, and maintaining a strong pipeline of leads.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and research
- Conduct background research on potential customers and discuss their supply chain with decision-makers
- Analyze customer needs and develop value propositions
- Utilize Suggested Calls and other data-driven reporting to identify customer growth opportunities
- Maintain regular and consistent communication with the manager and peers within the Sales organization
- Complete successful calls on leads and work to schedule opportunity handoff calls
- Navigate internal, cross-functional processes to coordinate and collaborate on support and solutions with internal teams
- Collaborate with sales peers, marketing, finance, operations, and other areas as appropriate to support growth of revenue
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent OR Four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience OR one (1) year of the Company's business-to-business sales experience required
- Demonstrated Involvement or leadership in school, community, athletic or professional organizations
- Experience working collaboratively in team-based environments
- B2B or high-value B2C sales experience using digital tools & CRM
- Prospecting activities and/or inbound virtual customer support experience

Additional Details: This is a customer-facing role that requires regular in-person meetings. Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of Little Rock, AR or Oklahoma City, OK, or surrounding cities within the territory.
