Sales Development Representative II
About the role
The sales development rep is a key member of a sales team, focusing on prospecting new business opportunities within a defined geographic territory in the small and medium market. The role involves identifying potential new customers, conducting background research, discussing supply chains with decision-makers, and developing value propositions.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and vets new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and call cycling.
- Conducts background research on potential customers and discusses their supply chain with decision-makers.
- Analyzes customer needs and utilizes Suggested Calls and other data-driven reporting to identify customer growth opportunities.
- Maintains regular and consistent communication with the manager and peers within the Sales organization to support new/incremental revenue.
- Manages a healthy pipeline of new leads, completes successful calls on those leads, and schedules opportunity handoff calls.
- Navigates internal, cross-functional processes to coordinate and collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and outstanding customer experience.
- Collaborates with sales peers, marketing, finance, operations, and other areas as needed to identify issues and develop/implement solutions to support revenue growth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/equivalent OR four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience OR one (1) year of the Company's business-to-business sales experience required.
- Demonstrated communication skills, presentation skills, product knowledge, resilience with prospecting and lead qualification, time management, organization, self-motivation, adaptability, and business acumen.
- Experience leveraging technology and CRM for high-volume prospecting activities and/or inbound virtual customer support.
Qualifications
- One (1) year of the Company's business-to-business sales experience preferred.
- Experience working collaboratively in team-based environments preferred.
- High-value B2C sales experience using digital tools and CRM preferred.
- Prospecting activities and/or inbound virtual customer support experience preferred.
