About the role
The Sales Development Representative is a key member of the sales team responsible for prospecting new business opportunities within a defined geographic territory in the small and medium market. The role involves identifying potential new customers, conducting background research, discussing their supply chain with decision-makers, and developing value propositions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and vet new business opportunities through targeted prospecting and call cycling
- Conduct background research on potential customers and discuss their supply chain with decision-makers
- Develop and analyze customer needs to create effective value propositions
- Maintain regular communication with the sales team and internal stakeholders to coordinate opportunities and support new/incremental revenue
- Manage a healthy pipeline of new leads, complete successful calls, and schedule opportunity handoff calls
- Navigate internal processes to coordinate support and solutions with various internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Collaborate with sales peers, marketing, finance, operations, and other areas to identify and implement solutions for revenue growth
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience, or one (1) year of the Company's business-to-business sales experience
- Communication skills, presentation skills, product knowledge, resilience with prospecting and lead qualification, time management, organization, self-motivation, adaptability, and business acumen
- Experience leveraging technology and CRM for high volume prospecting activities and/or inbound virtual customer support
Qualifications
- Demonstrated involvement or leadership in school, community, athletic, or professional organizations
- Experience working collaboratively in team-based environments
- B2B or high-value B2C sales experience using digital tools and CRM
- High-volume prospecting activities and/or inbound virtual customer support experience

Pay
This is a customer-facing role requiring regular in-person meetings. Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of Plano, TX or surrounding cities within the territory. Pay grade: SP2.
