Sales Development Representative I - San Antonio, TX
This position is only considering candidates local to our San Antonio, TX offices as it will be on a hybrid on-site schedule.
About the Role
Makes outbound sales contact (including cold calling) and pursues sales leads to develop a portfolio of buying customers. Accepts orders, closes sales, maintains customer records and completes required documentation. Identifies and qualifies prospective customers and records sales prospecting activity in computer-based tracking systems. May have an assigned product line that may overlap other sales teams' territories. Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedures and any other relevant policies and standards as directed.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes provided information to contact potential customers regarding Rackspace products.
- Conducts needs analysis and determines prospects' pain points to align Rackspace solutions with those needs.
- Researches market segments to identify potential customers and makes first contact.
- Develops new business via telephone, email, and social media to introduce Rackspace solutions and identify appropriate buyers within the target market.
- Prepares and analyzes leads pipeline reports and dashboards.
- Performs other incidental tasks related to the job, as necessary.
Requirements
- Entry-level knowledge in professional sales training and sales processes.
- Entry-level understanding of processes, procedures, and systems used to accomplish work, with familiarity in broader underlying concepts.
- Entry-level knowledge of Rackspace product portfolio, strategy, competitors, and customers.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or regional equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a field related to the role. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute the degree requirement.
- 0 - 2 years of experience in the field of role required.

Pay
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position is from $48,204.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to $84,748.40/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESP).
