Sales Development Representative
About the role
Client is launching a new SaaS platform designed specifically for the trucking, hauling, and dispatch industry and is seeking a highly motivated, commission-based Sales Development Representative (SDR) to support its market entry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and other channels
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit and buying intent
- Deliver product overviews and coordinate demos with technical lead
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective customers
- Educate prospects on subscription packages and add-on options
- Identify opportunities for onboarding, customization, and professional services
- Accurately document activities and opportunities in CRM
- Follow up with prospects through the full sales cycle
- Collaborate with internal team to relay customer feedback
- Consistently meet or exceed agreed-upon sales activity and revenue targets
Requirements
2+ years of experience in B2B sales, SaaS sales, or SDR/BDR roles
Experience with outbound prospecting and cold calling
Strong communication, presentation, and persuasion skills
Comfortable working in a commission-driven environment
Ability to explain technical products in simple business terms
Familiarity with CRM systems and basic sales tools
Highly organized with strong follow-up habits
Self-motivated and results-oriented
Experience selling to SMBs or operations-driven industries preferred
Knowledge of trucking, logistics, dispatch, or transportation is a plus

Clear, transparent commission structure with multiple revenue streams per deal:
- Subscription Commissions
- List Price: $5,000/year or $425/month
- Commission to SDR: $2,000 per Base Pack sold
- Add-On Pack (5 drivers): List Price: $1,750/year
- Commission to SDR: $250 per Add-On Pack sold
- Onboarding (Year 1 Only)
- One-time fee: $5,000
- Commission to SDR: $500 per onboarding sold
- Includes setup, data migration, workflow configuration, training, and integrations
- Customization & Professional Services
- Billable Rate: $85/hour
- Commission to SDR: $20 per hour sold
- Additional Reports
- $300/year per report + one-time customization fee
- Commission applied to customization hours
