Sales Development Representative
About the Role

This is a proactive sales position, not primarily an order-taking or customer-service role. New representatives begin by learning and demonstrating the fundamentals of professional selling before becoming eligible for larger accounts, customer travel, trade shows, territory assignments, specialized brands, or new business opportunities.
Responsibilities

Representatives are expected to consistently contact customers and prospects, identify opportunities, follow up, ask for business, develop relationships, and convert productive effort into measurable business results.
Requirements
- Entry-level opportunity; prior professional sales experience is not required
- Achievement-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working toward measurable sales goals
- Confident initiating conversations, asking for business, and developing professional relationships with new and existing customers
- Persistent and resilient, with the discipline to consistently follow up and move opportunities forward
- Curious and customer-focused, with an interest in understanding customers’ businesses, needs, and opportunities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and positive approach
- Organized, coachable, and able to learn technical product information quickly
- Comfortable using CRM systems, data, research, and technology to manage sales activity and identify opportunities
- Driven to continually learn, improve, and take on greater responsibility while building a long-term career in sales
Experience in hunting, shooting, optics, outdoor recreation, or related markets is helpful but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. The employee may be required to bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and operate office machinery and motor vehicles. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
This position occupies a normal climate-controlled office setting, but the employee may be exposed to outdoor conditions such as inclement weather and varying degrees of temperature while traveling to meet position expectations.
Schedule
This is a full-time, primarily in-office professional sales position based at Sellmark’s Mansfield headquarters. Representatives must maintain regular availability during Sellmark’s normal business operations while recognizing that customer needs, training, and business opportunities may occasionally require additional flexibility.
Employees must accurately record all hours worked and follow applicable Sellmark timekeeping and overtime procedures.
