About the role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will support Kustomer’s sales efforts by prospecting, sourcing decision-makers, and generating outbound leads through email, phone, and social channels. You’ll qualify leads, conduct meetings, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive Kustomer’s message to the market. This role is based in the New York, NY metropolitan area, with the team working from the Manhattan office one day a week (Wednesdays). Candidates must already reside in the tri-state area (CT, NY, NJ).

Responsibilities

  • Engage potential prospects via email and phone to qualify and schedule appointments for account executives.
  • Identify target customers through email, phone, and social channels.
  • Maintain active engagement with leads through informed, creative follow-ups.
  • Research and develop prospective accounts.
  • Collaborate with account executives to identify qualified accounts and define outreach strategies.
  • Partner with marketing to refine messaging and target market segments.
  • Achieve quarterly quotas for developed leads and closed sales.
  • Handle sensitive personal data in compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of inbound/outbound sales experience (internships included; startup/sales experience preferred).
  • Ability to quickly engage potential customers via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
  • Clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for AI and its applications in sales processes.
  • Resilience and grit in the face of rejection.
  • Strong time management and accountability to metrics, often exceeding targets.
