Sales Development Representative
About the role
Advantech is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our team in either Downers Grove, IL or Ottawa, IL. This role involves generating qualified leads and managing a pipeline of opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Research, identify, and generate new sales opportunities using various tools and platforms
- Build, qualify, and manage an accurate sales pipeline using Salesforce
- Collaborate with Product Management and Key Account teams to develop strategies and demand generation activities
- Partner with the Advantech marketing team to plan and execute dedicated sales campaigns
- Track and report on key performance indicators and outbound sales activity, providing regular updates to senior management
- Utilize LinkedIn, Salesforce, and other prospecting tools to identify and engage potential customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience in sales, business development, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, research, and qualify new accounts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in MS Office
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce
- Ability to manage a pipeline and deliver consistent results in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with consultative selling approaches
- Background in Industrial Automation, IoT, or related technology sectors
- 2-5+ years of sales, business development, or related experience
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools
- Detail-oriented with strong listening and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously
