Position Summary
CIQ is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to qualify inbound interest, spark net-new conversations, and set the meetings that build pipeline for our sales organization. This is a launchpad role for someone who wants to grow into an Account Executive seat and is willing to out-work, out-learn, and out-curious the field to get there.
About the role
Must be located in India. You’ll be the first human a prospect meets at CIQ. You’ll reach people who’ve engaged with our content or who fit our ideal customer profile - platform engineers, HPC and AI infrastructure leaders, and the executives who own their compute strategy - through calls, email, LinkedIn, and social.
Responsibilities
- Reach people who’ve engaged with our content or who fit our ideal customer profile - platform engineers, HPC and AI infrastructure leaders, and the executives who own their compute strategy - through calls, email, LinkedIn, and social.
- Understand what they’re trying to build, figure out where CIQ fits, and hand off a qualified, well-briefed opportunity to our Sales and Solutions Architect teams.
- Run multi-channel outbound campaigns to net-new accounts - researched, personalized, and persistent - to generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the sales team.
- Learn CIQ’s products and the wider Linux, HPC, and AI infrastructure landscape well enough to hold a credible early conversation, and keep learning as the market shifts.
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives, Solutions Architects, and Marketing to sharpen messaging, improve handoffs, and drive deals forward.
Requirements
- Highly motivated and resilient - you set your own pace, chase the goal, and bounce back quickly from a “no.”
- Curious about technology and eager to learn - you find it interesting (not intimidating) to figure out what CIQ builds and why it matters.
- Adaptable - comfortable with change, new tools, and shifting priorities in an evolving tech and product landscape.
- A strong communicator - clear, confident, and human on the phone, over email, and on LinkedIn.
- Organized and self-directed - excellent time management, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow a process.
- A great teammate - friendly, humble, honest, collaborative, and always striving to be better - who can thrive independently in a remote team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience as an SDR/BDR or in a comparable role.
- Nice to have: prior sales, customer-facing, or startup experience; exposure to HubSpot or a sales engagement platform; interest in Linux, open source, cloud, HPC, or AI infrastructure.
Skills
- Genuine curiosity about technology and eagerness to learn.
- Adaptability to change and new tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Flexible paid time off.
- Employee stock options.
- Remote work; no travel required for most positions.
