About the role
This position designs, models, and details capital equipment layouts for the concrete products industry.
Essential Functions
- Works with the field sales team on capital equipment requests.
- Utilizes SolidWorks/CAD systems for model creation, design, drafting, and detailing of all Besser products.
- Originates, develops, and updates plant layouts, sales drawings, and foundation, installation and erection drawings for products to meet defined company or customer requirements.
- Completes required documentation for drawing revisions and releases.
- Collaborates with sales and service representatives in the field to ensure all equipment specifications are accurate.
- Assists with incoming customer calls.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate's degree in CAD, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Work experience in drafting, design and SolidWorks/CAD.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, management, and customers. Familiarity of a variety of standard industry concepts, practices, and procedures. Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks applications.
- Requirements: Must be willing to travel.
