About the role
The Sales Coordinator will assist the sales teams and facilitate communication between sales representatives, internal teams, and external vendors. They will provide administrative support while maintaining positive customer relations with existing and future clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Sales Team by reviewing all orders submitted to confirm pricing, model numbers, specifications, options, sales tax, and customer information.
- Enter all signed sales orders into the accounting system.
- Order equipment, track deliveries to the warehouse, and coordinate with the Service and Installation Department to meet customer timelines and availability.
- Enter customer information into logging systems such as SAP and/or Salesforce.
- Provide customer support by answering phone calls and emails, confirming order status, and communicating with customers about any delays or setbacks.
- Build and process special projects such as construction contracts and public works contracts, including prevailing wage rates and certifications.
- Partner with the warehouse, parts, and service departments to verify the availability of parts, equipment, and personnel.
- Create and submit invoices for all orders upon completion of the project, along with any additional paperwork such as lien waivers and applications for payment.
- Verify available equipment and freight discounts, apply vendor warranty credits, and handle credit card returns.
- Communicate potential leads and information to sales representatives according to the territory map, and escalate top-level issues to the Sales Manager or General Manager.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion or pursuit of an associate or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- At least 4 years of related work experience in sales, administrative support, or project coordination preferred.
- Experience with SAP and Salesforce, or other CRM systems, strongly preferred.
- Proficient computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with telephone and email/ticketing systems for customer support.

Benefits
For New York, the starting rate for this role is $22.00/hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
