Position Overview
We are seeking a technically strong, driven Sales Consultant – HVAC/Filtration to grow our air filtration business across the Cincinnati/Dayton territory. This role is designed as a leadership pipeline position, beginning with territory development and potential to progress into a Division Manager role. You’ll start by learning the business, products, and market under experienced leadership, with the expectation of eventually leading the division.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth: develop new accounts and expand existing customer relationships
- Manage your territory: plan and execute sales calls, track opportunities, and maintain account activity
- Deliver solutions: understand customer needs and provide effective filtration and air quality solutions
- Build partnerships: collaborate with vendors to support training, product knowledge, and customer engagement
- Execute strategy: develop and implement territory sales plans to meet or exceed goals
- Stay informed: maintain strong product and industry knowledge within air filtration
Qualifications
- Proven B2B sales, business development, or technical/mechanical sales experience - preferably within HVAC or mechanical equipment
- Mechanical aptitude or engineering mindset strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering a plus
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a competitive drive to achieve results
- Organized with strong follow-up and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory 2-3 days per month (Cincinnati, Dayton, Lima & Toledo markets)
Work Environment
- Exposure to office, warehouse, manufacturing plant, customer site, and outdoor environments
- Regular travel within the assigned territory and on-site evaluations at customer facilities
- Able to access and navigate all areas of customer and company facilities, including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and elevated equipment
- May involve climbing ladders and working in varying environmental conditions while adhering to safety guidelines
