At Canter Power Systems/GenerX Generators, we're looking for a professional who takes pride in helping homeowners make important decisions, enjoys delivering an exceptional customer experience, and wants to partner with one of the nation's leading residential standby generator companies. As a Generac Prestige Dealer and Kohler Titanium Dealer, we complete more than 3,000 residential generator installations each year while maintaining a 4.8-Star Google Rating.

Our In-Home Sales Consultant role offers company-provided leads, allowing you to focus on meeting customers and closing sales rather than prospecting or cold calling. You'll receive 3–5 qualified appointments every day.

Responsibilities

• Meet with homeowners during scheduled in-home consultations
• Evaluate each home's backup power needs
• Design customized standby generator solutions
• Deliver professional presentations and recommendations
• Prepare proposals and close sales
• Build lasting customer relationships through outstanding service
• Coordinate with our office and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer experience

Requirements

• Minimum one year of successful in-home sales experience
• Proven ability to build rapport and close sales
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and goal-oriented
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Comfortable using tablets, email, and CRM software

Experience in any of the following industries is highly desirable: HVAC, Roofing, Solar, Windows & Doors, Home Remodeling, Pools & Outdoor Living, Security Systems, Residential Construction, or other high-ticket in-home sales.
