Sales Clerk (Retail)

About the role

Full or part-time job opening at Below Deck Bottle Shop. Ideal candidate should possess a thorough understanding of craft beer and wine (training provided). Should be familiar with current trends in craft beer and upcoming releases. Build customer confidence by making the store experience interactive, engaging and reassuring. Maximize customer experience by uncovering needs and offering solutions. Maintain the visual appeal of the store. Develop positive customer relationships. Ensure customers are greeted and waited on quickly, efficiently and in a pleasant manner. Assist in stocking and organizing displays ensuring that all merchandise is presented in a professional manner. Operate the cash register, promote sales and assist customers. Work in the stock room quality controlling, processing, pricing and stocking merchandise. Resolve customer complaints and handle merchandise returns in a pleasant and professional manner. Responsible for following and ensuring all safety rules are complied with and appropriate safety equipment is used.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous retail or customer service-oriented experience preferred
• Ability to listen carefully and actively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• General physical abilities to perform the clerical, cashier, merchandising and supervisory functions of the job
• Ability to lift and/or move heavy objects or to assist in this process
• Availability for flexible scheduling

Pay

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour
