Join our team as a Sales Clerk serving the brave men and women of the military and their families! In this dynamic role, you'll provide exceptional customer service, assist with product selection, and ensure a smooth shopping experience for customers.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge, and help with the selection of merchandise.
- React to all customer concerns quickly with a sense of importance.
- Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service, which may require demonstration and/or explanation of technical features of items sold.
- Take periodic stock counts and may participate in taking inventories.
- Replenish stock and maintain merchandise in a neat and presentable condition.
- Advise supervisor/department head of customer requests.
- Receive cash, checks, credit cards, debit cards, and gift cards in payment for merchandise; give change accurately in the operation of a cash register.
- Maintain records of sales; balance till at the end of shift, turn in sales records, money, stamps, customer checks or charge slips, and account for all monies and items sold.
- Perform price changes for various departments, including markdowns or markups, and set company promotions.
- Ensure proper display and signage of promotions, including changing item labels if necessary.
- Follow all policies regarding Loss Prevention; be aware and proactive regarding shrink and the Alert Line.
- Follow all established safety standards and emergency preparedness requirements.
- Work weekends as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, comprehend, and explain product literature.
- Ability to count, subtract, multiply, and divide for stocking and inventory purposes, as evidenced by high school coursework, a GED, or high school diploma.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Schedule
Full-Time (30-40 hrs/wk)
