Responsibilities
- Maximize revenues in the catering and assigned group segments through account management, solicitation, and generation of new business.
- Execute assigned action plans and follow CMC Hotels Catering Sales Policies and Procedures.
- Monitor and manage all aspects of the pre-event, event, and post-event details, including tracking, detailing, and communicating event particulars.
- Manage group business related to meeting room space and standalone groups.
- Maintain pro-active approach to assigned target meeting room and group segments.
- Meet budgeted meeting room/catering revenues and other assigned segments.
- Communicate with relevant departments to ensure proper servicing of accounts through accurate BEOs.
- Field all inquiries, conduct property tours, promote hotel facilities and services, and issue accurate menus and pricing in coordination with DOS/GM/F&B Manager.
- Supervise and attend the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings.
- Qualify potential clients and negotiate to sell the hotel’s amenities.
- Understand the geographic designated business market and surrounding demand generators.
- Have an extensive knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, service standards, food preparation, and presentation of foods and beverages.
- Have the ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry goods weighing a maximum of 20 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Have an extensive and creative knowledge of catering layouts using a variety of set-ups and configurations for meeting rooms.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Passion for hotel sales.
- Clear background check.
- Reliable transportation.
