Join our team of experienced Sales Associates at Curtis Lumber, a family-owned and operated building materials retailer founded in 1890. We are one of the 100 largest and fastest-growing retailers in the nation, offering competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Take phone calls, build quotes and orders for pick up or delivery
• Aid customers with their needs
• Engage in face-to-face, phone, and electronic sales
• Utilize exceptional customer service and sales skills to meet or exceed company sales and margin goals
• Maintain, clean, stock, and restock the main store and back storage areas

Requirements

• Comfortable engaging in various types of sales
• Excellent customer service skills
• Effective suggestive and upgrade selling and add-on sales
• Effective closing techniques
• Quote follow-up and quote to order conversion
• Share expertise with colleagues
• Show discretion and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or sales
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of building materials and products
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
