Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively engage and connect with customers, asking questions and listening to their needs.
Direct customers to merchandise and inform them about upcoming events, promotions, and mobile offers.
Provide premier customer service by cooperating and building positive relationships with customers.
Ensure the store's appearance is maintained and assist in cross-selling products and suggesting current promotions based on individual customer needs.
Use Point-of-Sales systems to process transactions, handle cash exchanges, discounts, gift cards, credit cards, and debit cards, and return accurate change.
Complete various forms of paperwork, reports, and reconcile inventory.
Participate in periodic inventories and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Adhere to assigned work schedules and maintain dependability in completing work assignments.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
Experience in retail is preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reasoning Abilities
Multi-tasking while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to business needs.
Working in a fast-paced environment with constant movement, standing, and occasional lifting.
Physical Demands
Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grasping, and standing for at least two hours.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Lifting up to 50 lbs. in some departments.
