About the role

The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting the Sales Director in building meaningful relationships and reinforcing the Community’s brand. This involves assisting with the sales and marketing process and working with partners to drive activities that will drive leads, tours, and move-ins, as well as any other job duties listed below or as outlined by your supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with federal, state, and local standards for community operation.
  • Incorporates the Generation’s Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.
  • Partnership and Direction: In partnership and direction from the Sales Manager, assist in developing positive working relationships with key referral partners in the medical community.
  • Follow-up Communication: Assist with follow-up communication to market contacts.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain current database of existing and potential referral sources.
  • Special Events: Assist with monthly special events and presentations.
  • General Inquiries: Support Sales Manager with general inquiries, referral relationships, admissions process, and other related activities.
  • Potential Residents: Assist with qualifying prospective residents, effectively matching our services to their needs.
  • Movers: Assist the Sales Manager with all activities related to move-ins, move-outs, and transfers.
  • Financial Information: Verify financial information for official documentation and assists customers in application process.
  • Tour Coordination: Coordinate with service staff on room refurbishing, room keys, and work order process.
  • Tours: Provide walk-in and scheduled tours with prospective residents or interested parties.
  • Sales Forecast: Meet or exceed weekly company/community sales standards and produce a weekly sales forecast.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing is highly desired.
  • Previous experience and/or training in sales.
  • One (1) year of senior living sales is highly desired.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Knowledgeable of the rules, regulations and guidelines that govern assisted living facilities.
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurances.
  • Sufficient computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and /or Internet to perform required duties.

Supervision

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Working Conditions

  • Works with the public, personnel, visitors, family members and residents under all circumstances.
  • May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
  • Must be able to travel to different communities and medical establishments within assigned area.
