Sales Associate Power Equipment PT

About the role

Sales associates work closely with customers to provide product knowledge, including features, warranties, special discounts, and additional product information. They maintain the store's visual appearance, manage displays, and stay updated on trends and competition. Associates are expected to build long-term customer relationships to achieve sales goals and positively represent the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, determine their needs/wants, and recommend merchandise
• Advise customers on utilization and care of merchandise
• Answer customer questions or concerns promptly and friendly
• Stock and recover merchandise
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Operate pallet jacks and forklifts, as needed
• Ensure proper signage is in place throughout assigned department
• Use computer systems to check prices and inventories
• Assist with inventory preparation
• Create special orders, as needed
• Maintain safety awareness of hazards to employees or customers
• Handle customer complaints, questions, or concerns professionally
• Bring in carts from outside
• Perform additional duties, as assigned
